Notes
This work was created not to convey a specific theme or story but to share the “mood,” which has often been treated as a background element. I do not perceive mood as having a distinct outline. I think of mood as something like an aura that drifts within an experience. Therefore, in this piece, beats and melodies are treated as the background (environment), with no prominent changes given to them. What transforms and becomes the focal point throughout the piece are the textures and ambiance that envelop them.

この作品は固有のテーマやストーリーを伝えるというよりも、これまで背景として扱われがちだった「ムード」の共有を目的に作られました。 私はムードに明確な輪郭を感じません。ムードとは体験の中を漂う気配のようなものだと考えます。それゆえ、今作ではビートやメロディを背景(環境)として扱い、目立った変化を与えていません。曲中で変化し主題化されるのはそれらを覆うテクスチャやアンビエンスです。

Notes
I believe that when something that is supposed to be there is missing, we become more acutely aware of its absence. This work takes that sense of loss and complementarity and applies it to music. By intentionally not making elements that constitute music -such as melody, rhythm, and harmony -explicit, the aim is to encourage the listener to focus on the sounds that cannot be heard.

本来そこにあるはずのものがないことで、より強く「ないもの」を意識することがあると思います。 そうした喪失と補完の感覚を音楽に転用したのが本作品です。 メロディやリズム、ハーモニーなど、音楽を構成する要素を明示しないことで、聴こえない音に耳を澄すよう促す狙いがあります。
